Who runs this
This site is run by the Salisbury University chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. It is not operated by Salisbury University or by Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Inc.
What we collect
You can browse the public pages without giving us anything. We only collect information you type in yourself:
- If you register to rush: your name, email, and password, plus anything optional you choose to add — phone number, major, expected graduation year, completed credit hours, hometown, Instagram, Snapchat, a short bio, and a profile photo.
- If you message an officer: your name, the contact detail you provide, and your message.
- If you are a brother: your name, email, and password.
Passwords are stored hashed — nobody, including us, can read them. We don’t use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookie we set keeps you signed in.
Who can see it
- Everything on your rush profile is visible to members of our chapter, who use it to plan recruitment.
- Other people registered to rush see only your name, photo, major, graduation year, and Snapchat, and only if you tick the box asking us to share it. That is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it back off at any time. Your email, phone number, credit hours, and bio are never shown to them.
- Nothing from your profile appears on the public website or is given to advertisers. We don’t sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep rush profiles while you’re being considered and for up to one year after the recruitment cycle ends, so we can follow up in a later semester. Ask us sooner and we’ll delete it sooner.
Deleting your information
Email us or message any officer through the site and ask us to delete your account. We’ll remove your profile, your photo, and any notes attached to it. You don’t need to give a reason, and it will not affect how you’re treated if you rush later.
Age
This site is meant for current and prospective Salisbury University students. Please don’t register if you’re under 16.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed, and the private portal is limited to verified chapter members. No system is perfect though — please don’t put anything in your bio or a message that you wouldn’t want another person to read.
Contact
Questions, corrections, or deletion requests: message any member of our executive board from the leadership section of the home page, or reach us on Instagram at @sigep_su.
